We ordered the chicken shawarma rice plate and lamb kabob wrap with fries. The flavors were thoughtful and vibrant: tangy sumac sprinkled over creamy hummus and babaganoush, perfectly charred onions in the wrap, and the garlic sauce? Chef’s kiss! Loved the pickled cabbage and crunchy pickles alongside everything. The wrap was a little messy but that’s what they make napkins for! The pita was a little overdone and they quickly brought out a fresh batch. Nasir, the owner was so kind and attentive - it genuinely felt like being welcomed into my own baba’s home. The decor is simple and meaningful with beautiful photos from Palestine and the region. We’ll definitely be back.

Baba’s is a true hidden gem. The owner is the kindest man who makes you feel like family in his home. He always has a smile and greets you with his friendly “Hello”! The food is outstanding and we love trying something new each time. The soups are comforting and the wraps with the garlic sauce are so full of flavor!! The pickles are so unique and we always buy a side order because we can’t get enough!

A much needed, homemade place to eat off the main highway. We had the chicken shawarma, hummus, pita, lentil soup and falafel. The hummus was the star, homemade with olive oil and sumac. The lentil soup was also hot, tasty, and filling. Don’t mind the rough decor, the food is worth it.

The food here is amazing. The ingredients are mixed well and the options are exciting. The owners are kind and you can get some great deli items like cheese, yogurt, lentils, grape leaves, sumac, and more. My wife and I had the lamb shawarma combo which was filling and tasty. Highly recommend!

Starting with the good, the food here is awesome. Lamb shawarma was great and I love the fries. If I worked nearby and I were swinging through for lunch, I'd sit in the dining area and eat. Otherwise. The side street parking makes it challenging so I feel like to go is the best option. When you're the only customer in the place, the dining room and the inside of the store feels a little sketchy and the lack of parking makes it a challenge, especially if you're from out of town. All at all. I'll definitely be stopping here again the next time I'm in Wausau.
